The feel of the material was excellent but the instructons were incorrect. After two days we got the right shape of the table.Overall this was a good table

Read all the available reviews but nobody pointed out the height/high plinth issue. I got it to use as a dressing table, but cannot imagine anyone comfortably using it as an office desk. We will attempt this weekend to remove the extra crossbar that is in the way of your legs. No point in getting a higher chair if your legs cannot fit underneath.

The desk looks great once assembled. However, it cannot be used in reality because of a crossbar that makes the space quite narrow for fitting in legs in a convenient way. There also seems to be no way to get rid of that bar without causing damage to the whole unit. Quite frustrating after all the investment.

This is a completely unnecessary piece. It does not do anything. If you attach it, you WILL be uncomfortable. You may also have to buy new lower desk chairs as it makes the desk so low that you struggle to fit chairs underneath.
This is what the other reviews are talking about when they say crossbar is in the way. It makes the area where you put your legs too small.
If you just don’t fit this piece, the desk is perfect.
