    This looks great and exactly what I’m looking for but measurements are really lacking. Interested to know if you could fit a small monitor in the main section (perhaps with shelf removed?) please advice?

    This unit is perfect for what I was needing. Office space but without taking up too much space in any room.
    Quickly delivered and easy to follow instructions to enable me to build. I missed out a couple of steps so that I was able to fit a monitor in the unit. It is also a lot larger space for working than I had expected which was a great bonus.
    I have the unit sitting in a corner of my livingroom behind a door so I’m able to work out of the way and then when not working I can close the unit and looks lovely as a sideboard.

    After reading other reviews was a bit worried about ordering this desk. I shouldn’t have been though. It arrived promptly and was reasonably easy to put together as all parts were labelled well. My husband and I put it together in about 3 hours. It looks great in our spare room and perfect for an occasional desk.

    I was slightly hesitant to purchase after reading some of the reviews. When the desk went on offer I decided to take the plunge. I was able to build the desk taking my time, and did so without any assistance from my husband! Everything about the unit is well designed and quite sturdy. The top piece is a lovely heavy addition and the whole thing is perfect for what I needed, sits neatly in the corner, holds lots of folders and laptop and looks stylish. Very happy indeed! 🙂

    I’ve added the pic of dimensions as we could have benefitted from them before buying. The unit itself is nice, we left the shelves out in the top half so the monitor will fit in, the laptop will fit in too as the desk space that comes down on the hydraulic poles is a big space, but doesn’t sit on the top of the cupboard doors for extra support, like I thought, so you can’t put much weight on it. Really spacious shelves underneath, however, won’t fit my printer in there. Would definitely recommend as you can hide work away at the end of the day, and as a full time remote worker, this is perfect. The door hinges were rubbish, but got onto Dunelm live chat & they are resending some so hopefully they’ll be better. Seems sturdy & the top of it is a lovely space to put some plants and other things.

    Olney corner hideaway desk and Others. I have now purchased 4 items of Dunelm’s Olney furniture. Despite having to build it yourself. The instructions are clear and concise. It is great quality wood. I am very pleased with each piece. The delivery was slot was emailed, i received a phone call 1 hour before the time slot and it arrived on date and time. I highly recommend.
